While developing the order form for Site5.com, I discovered that there was no really good solution for querying the WHOIS records for an arbitrary domain name and parsing the output into meaningful, standardized fields.

This looks great. Puppets declarative goodness, with Capistrano's functions. Developers barely ever get the true beauty of declarative programming. shame.

Joe has released another version of his library. I'd love to get involved, but I'm not going to do much Java/Ant stuff this quarter. Maven has some damn fine ideas, and Ant users can run with them.

Checklists work. They knocked down the error rate significantly at my last job. Of course, everyone hated me for implementing it because they had to improve their ways. But that was a bigger issue.

If you must edit config files on the fly, then I guess you'd better use a good tool.
