Due to our continuing development, we are in search of a sysadmin to join our existing team in Melbourne and Oslo. We use Perl, Apache, Nginx, mod_perl, Postfix, Cyrus, MySQL, Git, DRDB, Debian and more.
Responsibilities
Opera email services currently have about 500,000 accounts across our My Opera Mail and FastMail.FM brands. You will be responsible for keeping this commercial email service running with close to 100% availability.
Ongoing development and automation of our operational systems is always needed, to keep the administration workload manageable as we grow across geographically distributed data centers.
Requirements
* You are a good communicator with a "can do", problem-solving attitude.
* You can work independently and within a team.
* You are committed to stability, robustness and repeatability.
* You are able to become quickly proficient with new systems and environments.
* You are comfortable with Perl and Linux system administration.
* You are pragmatic, agile and buy into the DevOps principles.
Ideals (one or more)
* You have experience managing high-availability distributed systems.
* You have in-depth knowledge of Cyrus, Postfix and MySQL administration.
* You have a university-level education in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Science.
